Clinical Study on the Pancreatic Pseudocyst

Abstract
|
|
|
A report is given on 29 cases of panereatic psedocysts operated upon at Seoul National Univ.
Hospital from May 1963 to April 1972.
1) Causes are traumatic in 7 cases, inflammarory in 18 cases, neoplastic retension cysts in 2 cases
and unknown in 2 cases.
2) Symptom and signs are abdominal pain, abdominal mass, weight loss and radiologic evidences of
displacement of the stomach, doudenum or the colon.
3) External drainage was performed in 15 cases, internal drainage in 8 cases, pancreaticoduodenecto
my in 1 cases and simple excision of the cyst was performed in 2 cases, But no other measure was
performed in 3 cases. In 3 cases of Roux-en-Y cystojejunostomy and 4 cases of other internal drainage,
physiologically similar operations, satisfactory results are obtained.
